PROBLEM SOLVING
101

***The following is a basic, but effective problem solving methodology:

1) Define the problem and evaluate who will be involved in
the problem's resolution.
2) Set a deadline for resolution.
*Deadlines create resolution and single-mindedness.
3) Brainstorm ideas for solutions.
*This step brings out ideas, allows for creativity and innovation with minimal
censoring of ideas.
4) Develop a criteria for the solution.
*This step help clarify desires and outlines constraints to funnel to the best idea.
5) Select and implement the best idea.
*After considering your desired criteria, "counting the cost" to determine
whether your best choice can be implemented given your resources ( time,
money and skill ).
6) Document the results.
*Helps for future reference in future problems.
